What the shortlist means

The result narrows the first products to test; it is not a ranking of every platform. A commerce-first answer favors structured catalog and order operations. A design-led answer favors visual editing and content. A control-led answer assumes someone can maintain hosting, updates, backups, and extensions.

Run a representative trial

Create the most difficult product, import a small catalog, configure taxes and shipping, place an order, issue a refund, export the records, and invite the people who will maintain the store.
